My name is Arvin Alaigh, and I’m a writer and historian. I recently defended my doctoral dissertation at the University of Cambridge. I was named one of Dissent‘s 2022 Emerging Writers, and my work has been featured in outlets such as The Nation, The Baffler, The Drift, and the London Review of Books blog. I have a wide range of interests, including politics, culture, faith, and sports.
My first book project—currently under contract with Liveright/W.W. Norton (and Oneworld Publications in the UK)—will tell the story of the Catholic Resistance in the broader context of Cold War politics, the antiwar movement, and the Harrisburg Seven trial. Here is a link to the Publisher’s Weekly announcement, and here is a link to the announcement in the UK trade publication, The Bookseller.
I’m represented by Isabel Mendía at The Cheney Agency (US) and Matthew Marland at RCW Literary Agency (UK).
